Systems Immunology

Obtain a conceptual framework of the main modeling, analysis and visualization technologies along with methodological principles for their application to translational research projects. The course is aimed at scientists involved or interested in the use of multi-dimensional data generated by modern genomics and proteomics technologies such as mass/flow cytometry, next-generation sequencing, and microarrays. The course will also provide a better basic understanding of modern statistical and mathematical concepts necessary for their analysis and interpretation.

Cancer Immunity & Immunotherapy

Co-organized with SITC, the course will review tumor immunology as the scientific foundation for the current practice of cancer immunotherapy, emphasizing fundamental principles, clinical advances, limitations, and opportunities to accelerate clinical progress. This course is designed for translational researchers and scientists, practicing clinicians, trainees, and individuals in biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies interested in immuno-oncology and the development of immunotherapies for cancer.

Big Data in Immunology Workshop

The open-access ImmPort database provides publicly available clinical trial and immunology research datasets and bioinformatics tools for analyses. ImmPort is an NIAID-funded data repository created to share NIAID-funded data with the scientific research community. ImmPort currently shares over 400 studies with new data released quarterly. Attend the ImmPort workshop to hear from scientists who have published on repurposed data. Plus, attend for a hands-on introduction to the ImmPort database and become familiar with mining the ImmPort data. Experts from the Immunology Database and Analysis Portal (ImmPort) will teach the workshop.
