  • Basic Immunology in Medicine: Update 2018 – Tuesday, June 19: Review topics in basic immunology, with emphasis on recent advances relevant to the pathogenesis and treatment of immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. Course faculty includes Abul K. Abbas, MD; Andrew Lichtman, MD, PhD; and Shiv Pillai, MD, PhD.
  • Cancer Immunity & Immunotherapy – Wednesday, June 20: Co-organized by SITC and FOCIS, the course will review tumor immunology as the scientific foundation for the current practice of cancer immunotherapy, emphasizing fundamental principles, clinical advances, limitations, and opportunities to accelerate clinical progress. Course directors are Abul K. Abbas, MD; and Leisha A Emens, MD, PhD
  • Systems Immunology – Tuesday, June 19: Get a conceptual framework of the main modeling, analysis and visualization technologies along with methodological principles for their application to translational research projects. This course was previously called Computational Immunology. Course faculty includes Dr. Magnus Fontes and Dr. Emanuele de Rinaldis.

Course registration is required to attend a specific course. All courses will be held at the FOCIS 2018 venue, the San Francisco Marriott Marquis in California. Course registration may be added to FOCIS 2018 registration or purchased separately. Package rates are available.
