Roman Istomine Named 2019 Recipient of the CGFFF Annual Trainee Travel Award

Congratulations to the 2019 recipient of the annual C. Garrison Fathman Fellows Fund (CGFFF) Trainee Travel Award, Roman Istomine, Research Institute of the McGill University Health Care Center, in Montreal, Canada.

Istomine was recognized at the FOCIS 2019 Annual Meeting before the Wednesday evening Keynote Address.

In the face of dwindling funds that restrict trainee travel and exposure to important immunology education and leaders in the field, the C. Garrison Fathman Fellows Fund enables trainees and fellows to attend FOCIS Annual Meetings, educational courses and participate in exchange programs.

The CGFFF was established by the FOCIS Foundation to accelerate the future of medicine by expanding access to research and development of new treatments for immune-based diseases.

The first CGFFF Trainee Travel Award was presented to Tomohiro Koga, M.D. Ph.D., at FOCIS 2013. Help the future of medicine get on the right track to identify new treatments for immune-based diseases by donating to the C. Garrison Fathman Fellows Fund. Your contribution allows the CGFFF to continue and strengthen our efforts to provide trainees and fellows the opportunity to attend FOCIS Annual Meetings, educational courses and participate in exchange programs that advance human health through immunology.
