Get the Facts- The FOCIS Centers of Excellence Trainee Satellite Symposium

Who:

The FOCIS Centers of Excellence (FCE) are a network of academic medical centers that focus on interdisciplinary and translational education and research. Within each FCE trainee and fellow development is a top priority. The Trainee Satellite Symposium (TSS) is an exlcusive function of the FCEs each year. Each FCE may send up to two trainees that are competitively selected by the FCE to receive a travel award to attend TSS and the FOCIS Annual Meeting. Interested in participating? What:
TSS is programmed thematically under the FOCIS interdisciplinary pillars including: Immunoregulation, Immunogenetics, Immunotherapy, Host Defense and Immunodiagnosis. The agenda includes lectures from leaders in immunology and related fields and presentations from featured FCE Directors.

Seaport Hotel Boston, 1 Seaport Lane, Boston, Massachusetts, 02210 USA.

Why:
TSS brings together trainees from the 68 FCEs to share research in a friendly, collaborative environment. TSS also provides the opportunity for double exposure as trainees may present their abstracts at TSS and during the FOCIS Annual Meeting which begins the same day. Trainees will have direct interaction with their counterparts from across the country and the globe as well as with FCE Directors who are leaders in their field. FCE Directors will be present throughout TSS to provide mentoring and feedback on oral presentations and posters.
